Product Description
This product contains AI-generated content.
Collider Auto Fit is a Unity editor extension that measures your avatar's body and makes PhysBone colliders sized to it — a sphere for the head and capsules for the chest, upper arms and thighs — then connects them to your hair, skirt and tail PhysBones in one click. It helps keep hair, skirts and tails from going through the body.
No avatar models are included (tool only).
How it works
- Put your avatar in the window. It measures the body mesh and shows the colliders in the Scene view, with the list of PhysBones and what each one connects to.
- Hair (under the Head bone, or named hair/ear) → head, chest, upper arms. Skirt and tail → thighs.
- Not connected: cheeks and face, chest/hip jiggle, things on arms and legs, and anything it cannot tell.
- If a PhysBone already starts inside a collider, that collider is not connected to it (a note is shown).
- Full version: press "Make colliders and connect". Undo with Ctrl+Z, or remove them later in one click. Your PhysBone settings (pull, spring, limits...) are not changed.
Free vs Full
- Free: measure and preview — see the colliders and which PhysBones they would connect to.
- Full: make the colliders and connect them, and remove them in one click.
Importing the Full version over the Free version replaces it.
Carefully tested before release
Made by Kotokoto Lab, an independent creator. Tested on 3 popular free avatars plus the chibi version of one of them: colliders were made on all 4 (the chibi has no chest collider because its chest has too few vertices), hair, skirt and tail PhysBones were connected (for example 34 hair, 16 skirt/apron and 1 tail on one avatar), pressing the button twice did not add more, and removing them brought the lists back. After the upload-time processing (Modular Avatar / Avatar Optimizer), the connections stayed on every PhysBone that remained. Also tested in a clean project. Colliders are sized close to the skin (measured from the body mesh). Check the result in Play mode.
Requirements
Unity 2022.3 (tested on 2022.3.22f1), VRChat SDK3 Avatars, Humanoid avatar with a body mesh (named Body, Skin...).
How to install
- Download the .unitypackage (Free or Full) and drag it into the Project window, then click Import.
- Open Tools > Collider Auto Fit. The window has an "English" checkbox at the top.
