❔ Commonly Asked Questions
- Are there any other tail, fluff, or hair options?
No, what you see is what you get! (Besides the eyelash toggles)
All the customization is driven by blendshapes and bone transforms to adjust the shape of the base Fox avatar. Everything shown in the gallery and demo avatar is all the customization features the SoapCritter comes with, there are no surprises! ^_^ - Does this avatar require Blender like your other avatars?
No, it doesn't! 😄 All customization options have been made available in the avatar's menu, but there is a simplified prefab of the avatar for those who prefer to set them before uploading. - Can this avatar work as a VTuber Model?
This model will be very difficult to get working as a .vsf, and impossible as a .vrm, due to the way the eye bones are scaled to get spherical rotation on non-spherical eyeballs. If you're up for the challenge, you'll need to use the Proxy Bones technique to get the model to work in the .vsf format. For .vrm, you'll need to disable the eye bones entirely.
I do not offer any tech support when it comes to converting the avatar into a VTuber, but if there's enough demand I may make a .vsf template! (Since Proxy Bones allows that) - Do the clothes work for [Insert Base Here]?
No, I have no plans to make the clothes work for any model but the Soap Critter.
If you purchase them to use on another avatar, I cannot assist you in getting it to work.
👕 Clothing DLC
11 different mix-and-matchable pieces of clothing basics for your Critter! Comes as an easy upload Unity Package with toggles :)
You can have all 11 on one avatar and remain Good performance on PC! (The default is Medium, but you can get to good by deleting a few physbone scripts.)
The Clothing DLC is Poor on Quest/Mobile and uses a lower quality version of the base avatar.
💻 Tech Support
- I do not guarantee any support related to Substance Painter.
- I provide support only for what is needed for uploading and using the base.
If something is not advertised on this page, I cannot guarantee technical support for it (such as conversion to VTubers or other games) - If you cannot join my tech support discord, please email me at [email protected] with the email you purchased with for support instead!
Please do not contact me through personal DM's ^_^
Known Problems / Things to Note
- Due to how complex the avatar is, there may be mesh, animator, or prefab updates in the future to fix bugs I missed.
If you choose to modify these parts of the avatar, I am not responsible for assisting in getting them working with future updates.
Your textures are 100% future compatible, I have no plans to change the model's UV's! (Or bones) - Without eye tracking, the eyes look inwards slightly too much, and don't look outwards enough. This is because of a VRChat SDK bug, that I am trying my best to compensate for!
- If you'd like this problem fixed, please upvote this canny post, so VRChat knows more people want it fixed!

- This avatar makes HEAVY use of VRCFury's Parameter Compression. Some actions (like loading in or changing avatar settings) may take a few seconds to sync up to other players!
- The path of the zipper will sometimes clip inside of the jacket. I intend to get this working better in a later update
- When stomach and chest settings are active at the same time, OR when the button up or jacket fit slider are enabled
- When stomach and chest settings are active at the same time, OR when the button up or jacket fit slider are enabled
- UV Tile discards will be added later, I have the UV's set up for it already but this was a last minute addition that I didn't have time to finish so it'll just be a unitypackage update with new animations ;w;
