How to attach the skates to your VRChat model:
- Import Skates_by_newdmnsn.unitypackage into the unity scene with your avatar.
- Place the Skates so that they fit your model.
- Attach Skates armature bones to the bones related to your avatar: skate foot bone under avatar foot bone, skate toe bone under avatar toe bone etc.
- Attach the Skates mesh to your avatar mesh in the hierarchy.
If your character's feet are not fully covered by the Skates (incl. furry avatars):
- Create a quad 3D object and position it where you want the feet cut off.
- Add MeshSplitter (https://booth.pm/en/items/1633965) and cut off the feet from your body mesh with a quad.
- Delete the quad.
- Hide the cut off feet part in the mesh inspector -> change tag to “Editor Only” and uncheck the check mark.
