RAIGEKI – a branching lightning blast for VRChat.

Make a fist and lightning gathers in your palm. Open your hand and a branching bolt shoots forward.

Charge → Fire → Afterglow, with no menu needed. Drop it onto your avatar with Modular Avatar.

FEATURES

• Hand gestures only: charge, fire, afterglow
• Either hand, or both at once
• Aims along elbow → palm, so it fires where your arm points regardless of bone orientation
• Hit detection (VRC Contact Sender, tags: G3_Raigeki / Lightning / Shock)
• Power small / large (large = 1.5x beam and hitbox)
• 4 colors: cyan / yellow / violet / white
• Original sound effects (charge hum, 3 random shots with pitch variation, fizzle)

HOW TO USE

• Fist → charge (grows while held)
• Open → fire
• Switch to another gesture while charging → fizzle
• Expression Menu → "雷撃スキル" (Raigeki) → on/off, power, color
• Desktop users can trigger it with the gesture keys

REQUIREMENTS

• Unity 2022.3.22f1, VRChat SDK Avatars 3.5+, Modular Avatar 1.10+
• Modular Avatar is free – add it in VCC (it can be installed next to VRCFury).
• A Humanoid avatar (uses hand and forearm bones)
• PC only (PCVR / Desktop). A light Quest prefab is included as an experimental bonus, but particle + audio gimmicks are rated VeryPoor on Android.

HOW TO INSTALL (about 30 seconds)

1. Import the unitypackage
2. Drag "G3_Raigeki_PC" onto your avatar root (the object with the VRC Avatar Descriptor)
3. Upload

No bone assignment, menu editing or parameter setup. Chibi avatars: set the Scale of G3_Tune_R to 0.6–0.75 (see README).

SPECS

• Synced parameters: 4 bits (on/off 1 + color 2 + power 1); firing uses VRChat's built-in gesture sync, no extra bits
• Adds (PC): Particle System +4 (max 92 particles), Audio Source +2, Material +6, Contact +2, Constraint +2, polygons 0
• Uses particle trails for the beam, so the PC rank is about Medium (how to slim it down: README)
