Lyncurio's Wearables: Bands, Bows & Belts for Any Avatar

Bands, bows and belts for any avatar. Click, fit, done.

Fits any avatar. Click Put on avatar, click where it goes, then Fit to body. The ring wraps the shape of the wrist, arm, neck, chest, waist or tail with a 2 mm gap. No per-base versions to hunt for. Works on furry and non-furry avatars alike.

Put on avatar, click the arm, done. The band wraps itself to the shape.

Loose, rigid or shaped by hand

Set the gap for a loose collar, pick Rigid so it keeps its round shape when the head turns, or click Edit points and drag it into any shape you like.

What you get

• Studded belts / collars: 8 leather and metal combos.
• Knit bands: 26 colourways (12 pride flags, 4 animal, 10 classic two-colour stripes).
• Ribbon bows: 12 fabrics (latex, silk, satin, velvet, leather, suede, denim, grosgrain, holographic, metallic, organza, toon). Pin them on, or put them on their own strap. Loops and tails swing with PhysBones.

Tick Banded and click Fit strap to body: the strap wraps the waist, tail, arm or leg for you.

In-game menu (Modular Avatar)

• On / off toggle for every item, in one "Wearables" menu. Nothing to set up.
• Colour switch in game: belts (8), striped bands (22), bows (up to 16 colours). Shared textures, so switching colour costs almost no extra memory.
• Optional size dial per item.
• Each colour switch or size dial uses 8 synced bits. Turn them off per item if your avatar is full.

Try it without VRChat: Tools > Lyncurio's Wearables > Test: Try Avatar Menu runs your menu in Unity Play mode.

Performance (VRChat SDK stats, PC)

• Belt / collar: 950-1,600 triangles, 1 material, 2.7 MB texture memory (belts share all maps but the colour).
• Knit band: about 1,100 triangles, 1 material, 3.7 MB (striped bands share one picture).
• Ribbon bow, pinned: about 3,000 triangles, 1 material, 2.4 MB.
• Ribbon bow on its strap: 3,200-4,300 triangles, 2 materials, 1.5-2.5 MB.

Each bow adds 4 PhysBone components. Wear a few, not all twelve, if you care about your rank.

Needs

• Unity 2022.3 + VRChat Avatars SDK 3 (via VCC).
• lilToon 2.3 or newer (tested 2.3.4).
• Modular Avatar 1.18 or newer (tested 1.18.7). Only for the menu; everything else works without it.
• PC. Quest version: coming as a free update.
