Japanese Bonsai - Large Windswept Shimpaku Juniper (Hagoromo) | VRChat World Prop

A Japanese-style bonsai 3D prop for VRChat worlds and homes.

This one is a shimpaku juniper in the windswept (fukinagashi) style, and it is the second

large-size piece in our range. The trunk leaves the pot and sweeps sideways in a long arc,

while every branch reaches the opposite way, as if the tree had grown its whole life in one

prevailing wind. A wide band of shari - trunk wood bleached pale by weather - runs the full

length of the trunk, with the live reddish-brown bark winding alongside it. That pale band

is what gives the piece its name: "Hagoromo", the feathered robe of a celestial being.

HOW TO USE

1. Import the unitypackage into a Unity project with the VRChat SDK (Worlds) installed

2. Drag the prefab into your scene

3. Switch the shader to liltoon or similar if you prefer

Our showroom world "Bonsai Engawa | Wabisabi Bonsaido" displays the bonsai on real

shelves - and the large pieces stand on their own stands in the bonsai garden.

What was generated by AI:

The base 3D mesh and its base-colour texture were generated with Meshy, an

image-to-3D AI tool. The input was a reference image of a bonsai that we prepared

ourselves; no third-party artwork or scanned model was used as input.

What was done by hand, without AI:

Removal of the display stand from the mesh, closing the resulting opening in the base of

the pot, rescaling and texture optimisation for real-time use, material setup, scaling to

real-world size, prefab construction, multi-angle quality inspection, product photography

and packaging.

Rights basis:

The model was generated under a paid Meshy plan, which grants full commercial and

resale rights to the output. Meshy states that its models are trained on legally

obtained, properly licensed data.
