Move your hands without changing your facial expression!!!
This script allows for the easy setup of a gesture lock on any avatar that still allows you to move your hands without letting your facial expression change.
This is intended for users without individual finger tracking (Ex: Quest, Pico)
Steps to use:
1 - Go in Tools/TimothySoup and click Gesture Lock
2 - Drag your FX layer into the Animator Controller option
3 - Press Add Gesture Lock
4 - Use the example menu or make your own toggle, you can also use the provided VRCFury Asset.
Extra Options
- Parameter Name: Change the parameter name you want to use. It is recommended to keep this the default
- Force Default Expression: Toggle on if you want to disable gestures completely (forces the default expression). If left off, your face will freeze on the latest expression you had.
- Avatar Descriptor: Adds the parameter to your Parameters if you have space
Using without VRCFury: Use the example menu or make your own toggle using the selected parameter.
Using with VRCFury: Drag the Gesture Lock prefab into the root of your avatar.
