Specs:

  • Polygon Count (Per item set): △600~2000
  • Parameters: 0
  • Memory Usage: 0 bits

★ Installation Steps

【Project Preparation】

  1. Install VRChat Creator Companion (VCC). Click "Create New Project" and select "Avatar." (Skip if you already have a project).
  2. In VCC, click "Manage Project." Search for and install "VRChat SDK" and "lilToon."
  3. Launch the project.

【Importing Data】

  1. Import your avatar data into the Unity project.
  2. Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file (Standard ST version) downloaded from the shop.
  3. Leave all items checked in the import window and click "Import."

【Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)】

  1. Place your avatar prefab into the Hierarchy.
  2. Open the "AvatarSetup" folder, select the folder for your specific avatar, and choose an item.
  3. Drag and drop your chosen item (e.g., "MA_PHP_1") onto your avatar's root GameObject.
  4. It should appear near the head. (Size and rotation can be adjusted in the next step).

【Adjusting Position and Size】

  1. Expand the hierarchy of the "MA_PHP_..." prefab under your avatar.
  2. Size: Select the "PHP_Horn..." object to adjust the scale.
  3. Position & Rotation: Select the "Horn..._Low.L" and "Horn..._Low.R" objects.
  4. Use the Transform values in the Inspector to fine-tune the position and rotation.
  5. Detailed Shape: You can adjust the thickness and length using the BlendShapes found on the "Horn..._Low.L" and "Horn..._Low.R" objects.

【Changing Colors and Materials】 Materials are located in SystemData → Material.

  1. To customize, Duplicate (Ctrl+D) an existing material and modify its settings.
  2. Under the "Main Color" section, change the "Main Color 2nd" color to your preference.
  3. You can also adjust settings for emission (glow) or outlines.
  4. Important (Normal Maps): Each horn shape uses a specific Normal Map (the image for surface bumps). When creating a material for "Horn 1," ensure you duplicate "PHP_Mat_Horn1." Applying a material designed for a different shape will cause the surface textures to look distorted.
  5. To apply, drag and drop the material onto the object, or replace it in the "Element" slot under the Mesh Renderer in the Inspector.

【Attaching to Other Body Parts】

  1. Select the "MA_PHP_..." GameObject and find the "MA Bone Proxy" component in the Inspector.
  2. Change the "Target" field (which is set to "Head" by default) to any bone you like.
  3. Move your avatar in Play Mode to ensure it follows the correct position.

【Uploading】

  1. Press the Play button in Unity. Use the Gizmo or Gesture Manager to verify the attachment and movement.
  2. Upload via the VRChat SDK toolbar. (If warnings appear, click the "Fix" button).
  3. Done! Enjoy!

★ Troubleshooting

  1. Check if Unity version matches 2022.3.22f1.
  2. If the material is pink, install lilToon.
  3. Ensure VRChat SDK and Modular Avatar are up to date.
  4. Do not rename or change the hierarchy within the Prefab, as this may break the gimmick.
  5. Check that your avatar's total parameter count does not exceed the limit.
