And yet, this little partner of mine seems determined to give me light all the same.

"LightBall" is a floating illumination orb designed for VRChat. It is compatible with Modular Avatar for a quick and easy setup.
By placing the orb anywhere and controlling its properties, you can set up the perfect lighting in any environment. The ball comes in 8 color variations, and you can further customize the colors to your heart's content via material settings. If the ball itself gets in the way, you can toggle its visibility off and utilize only the light.
These features are controlled via the VRChat Expression Menu, allowing you to tweak various settings. Whether for photography, exploration, or any moment where light is needed—this orb will be your dependable partner.

★ Supported Avatars
Compatible with most avatars. Since minimal adjustment is usually needed, there are no plans for individual pre-adjusted sets for other avatars.
Please refer to the "★ Installation Steps" if you wish to adjust the position yourself.

★ Installation Steps
【Project Preparation】
- Install VRChat Creator Companion (VCC). Click "Create New Project" and select "Avatar." (Skip if you already have a project).
- In VCC, click "Manage Project." Search for and install "VRChat SDK" and "lilToon."
- Launch the project.
【Importing Data】
- Import your avatar data into the Unity project.
- Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file downloaded from the shop.
- Leave all items checked in the import window and click "Import."
- Open the "AvatarSetup" folder and choose your preferred Prefab.
【Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)】
- Place your avatar prefab into the Hierarchy.
- Drag and drop the MA-compatible prefab directly onto your avatar's root GameObject.
【Customizing Colors】
- Open the "Material" folder. Duplicate (Ctrl+D) any material named "PLB_Mat_C" and rename it.
- Open the Inspector for your new material. Under the "Main Color" section, change "Main Color 2nd" and "Main Color 3rd" to your preferred colors.
- Applying the Material: Drag and drop your new material onto the three different parts of the LightBall in the Scene.
- Alternative Method: Expand the "PLB_LightBall_C" prefab hierarchy and select the objects named "LB_Core," "LB_Parts1," and "LB_Parts2." In the Inspector for each object, replace the material in the "Element" slot (within the Mesh Renderer component).
- Once the appearance changes in the Scene, you are all set.
【How to Hide by Default upon Upload】 The item is designed to turn off automatically, but if you want to ensure it is hidden:
- Expand the hierarchy of the item added to your avatar and locate the GameObject named "Transform."
- Disable it by unchecking the active checkbox in the top-left of the Inspector (do not use the eye icon in the Hierarchy).
- It will still function perfectly when triggered via the Expression Menu in-game.
【Uploading】
- Press the Play button in Unity. Use the Gizmo or Gesture Manager to verify the attachment and movement.
- If everything looks good, upload via the VRChat SDK toolbar. (If warnings appear, click the "Fix" button).
- Done! Enjoy!
★ Troubleshooting
- Check if Unity version matches 2022.3.22f1.
- If the material is pink, install lilToon.
- Ensure VRChat SDK and Modular Avatar are up to date.
- Do not rename or change the hierarchy within the Prefab, as this may break the gimmick.
- Check that your avatar's total parameter count does not exceed the limit.
