★Description

Deep inside this box, my heart races. Sweet yet bitter, cherished yet painful.

But I want to tell you. I want to reach you. I want to receive your love, and give mine in return.

So please... Open the box, and open your heart.

"BoxedSweets" is a 3D prop designed for VRChat, featuring a delightful assortment of boxed confections. It is fully compatible with Modular Avatar, allowing for an easy, "drag-and-drop" setup on your avatar.

This package includes two box shapes—Heart and Round—each coming with 3 different color variations. Via the Expressions Menu, you can spawn the box, toggle World Fixed (Stationary) mode, and open the lid to take out and eat the sweets.

  • For VR Users: You can physically reach into the box and "grab" individual sweets to move them around.
  • For Everyone: Simply bring your head close to the sweets to "eat" them (includes interaction/effects).

Perfect for parties, hanging out with friends, or as a special gift for Valentine's Day!

★ Installation Steps

[Project Preparation]

  1. Install the VRChat Creator Companion (VCC), select "Create New Project," and choose the "Avatar" template. (Skip if you already have a project.)
  2. Click "Manage Project" for your created project. Search for and install "VRChat SDK - Avatars" and "lilToon".
  3. If they are not found, search for their official websites and follow the latest installation instructions.
  4. Launch the project once the packages are installed.

[Importing Data]

  1. Drag and drop your avatar data into the Unity project.
  2. Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file downloaded from this page into the same project.
  3. Ensure all items in the import window are checked, then click "Import."
  4. Open the folder named "AvatarSetup". Inside, you will find folders for specific avatars. Choose your preferred Prefab from these folders.

[Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)]

  1. Drag your avatar into the "Hierarchy" window to place it in the Scene.
  2. Drag and drop the MA-compatible Prefab directly onto your Avatar's Root object.

[Item Setup & Adjustment]

  1. If you are using a non-supported avatar, you may need to adjust the item's position. If your avatar is not listed in "AvatarSetup," select any Prefab (e.g., Nemo or Rinasciita) and place it under your avatar.
  2. Expand the "PBoS_BoxedSweets" object, then expand the "MA_ConstPos.Box" hierarchy.
  3. The "Target" object is used for positioning. Adjust this to your desired location. By default, it is set to the left hand; align it there if that's where you want it.
  4. To attach it to a part other than the left hand: Select the "MA_ConstPos.BOX" object, go to the "MA Bone Proxy" component in the Inspector, and change the "Bone Reference" to your preferred bone.
  5. Enter Play Mode to test the movement. If everything looks good, you're all set!

[How to Hide Items During Upload]

The item will automatically turn off via the animation, so there is no issue. However, if you wish to hide the item manually during upload:

  • Navigate through the item's hierarchy and disable the Game Object named "Transform" in the Inspector (uncheck the box next to the name, rather than using the eye icon in the Hierarchy).
  • The item will still function perfectly when toggled via the Expressions Menu in-game.

[Uploading]

  1. Press the Play button in Unity. Use the Gesture Manager to verify that the item is properly attached and functioning.
  2. If there are no issues, open the VRChat SDK panel from the top toolbar and upload your avatar. (If warnings appear, clicking the "Auto-Fix" button will usually resolve them.)
  3. You're done! Enjoy your time in VRChat!

★ Troubleshooting

  • Unity Version: This asset is built for Unity 2022.3.22f1. Please ensure your project version matches.
  • Pink Materials: If the item appears pink, you need to install the "lilToon" shader.
  • Errors: Outdated versions of VRChat SDK or Modular Avatar may cause issues. Please try updating to the latest versions.
  • Gimmick Malfunctions: Do not change the hierarchy or names within the Prefab, as this may break the gimmicks.
  • Avatar Parameters: VRChat has a limit on the number of avatar parameters. Please check that you haven't exceeded the limit.
  • Interaction Issues: If you cannot interact with the sweets, ensure that "Allow Avatar Interactions" is enabled in your VRChat in-game settings.
  • Sync Issues: If the world-fixed position desyncs, please reset/reload your avatar.
