★ Installation Steps

【Project Preparation】

  1. Install VRChat Creator Companion (VCC). Click "Create New Project" and select "Avatar." (Skip if you already have a project).
  2. In VCC, click "Manage Project." Search for and install "VRChat SDK" and "lilToon."
  3. If not found, please search for their respective official pages and follow the latest installation instructions.
  4. Launch the project.

【Importing Data】

  1. Import your avatar data into the Unity project.
  2. Drag and drop the ".unitypackage" file downloaded from the shop. (Import Order: Standard (ST) → Extended (EX)).
  3. Important: The Standard version (ST) is REQUIRED for the Extended version (EX) to work. Even if you only plan to use the EX version, you MUST import the ST version as well.
  4. Leave all items checked in the import window and click "Import."
  5. The Modular Avatar (MA) compatible items (starting with "MA_") are located in the "AvatarSetup" folders inside the "ST" or "EX" directories.

【Attaching via Modular Avatar (MA)】

  1. Place your avatar prefab into the Hierarchy.
  2. Drag and drop the MA-compatible prefab directly onto your avatar's root GameObject.
    • ST Version: Use "MA_BarrelGame".
    • EX Version: Use "MA_BarrelGameEX".

【Adjusting Position and Size】

  1. Expand the hierarchy of the "BarrelGame" prefab you placed under your avatar.
  2. Positioning: To adjust the overall position and rotation, locate the GameObject named "BarrelGame" (located under the "WorldLockPos" object).
  3. Resizing: If you want to adjust the size of the barrel only, find the object named "Barrel_Mesh" and modify its Scale values in the Inspector.

【How to Hide by Default】 The system is designed to disable itself automatically, but if you want to ensure it is hidden upon upload:

  1. Disable the "BarrelGame" GameObject (found under "WorldLockPos").
    • Note: Uncheck the box in the top-left of the Inspector; do not use the eye icon in the Hierarchy.
  2. It will still function perfectly when triggered via the Expressions Menu in-game.

【Uploading】

  1. Press the Play button in Unity. Use the Gizmo or Gesture Manager to verify that the gimmick is correctly attached and functioning.
  2. If everything looks good, upload via the VRChat SDK toolbar. (If warnings appear, clicking the "Fix" button will resolve most issues).
  3. Done! Enjoy!

★ Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues, please check the following items:

  • Unity Version: Created with Unity 2022.3.22f1. Please ensure your project version matches.
  • Pink Materials: If the materials appear pink, you need to install the "lilToon" shader.
  • SDK & Modular Avatar Versions: Mismatched or outdated versions of VRChat SDK or Modular Avatar may cause errors. Please ensure they are updated to the latest versions.
  • Prefab Hierarchy: Do not change the hierarchy or names of the objects inside the Prefab, as this may cause the gimmick to malfunction.
  • Avatar Parameters: VRChat has a limit on the total number of bits for avatar parameters. Please ensure you have not exceeded this limit.
  • Sync Issues: If the game state becomes desynced, try reloading your avatar or rejoining the instance.
  • Audio Issues: If you cannot hear the gimmick's sound, please try increasing the "Avatar Volume" in your VRChat settings.
  • Missing Effects/Gimmicks: If the gimmick or effects are not visible to others, they may need to select you and click "Show Avatar" in their VRChat menu.
  • Interaction Issues: If others cannot interact with the gimmick, you or the other person may need to enable "Contact" permissions in your VRChat interaction settings.
