RULES

Avatar Base Terms of Service (TOS) & Community Rules

1. Ownership & Credits

• We (The VOTV team) own all rights to the original avatar base.
• You’re welcome to customize it, use it in your projects, and make your avatar public as long as you give proper credit.
• Do not claim the base itself as your own creation—only your edits belong to you.

2. Licensing Keys

• Every user receives a licensing key.
• This key verifies that you are an authorized user of the base.
• Please do not share, trade, or sell your key. Each key is tied to the person it’s issued to.
• If a key is found being misused, it may be revoked.

3. Allowed Uses

You can:

• Customize the base however you like
• Share your finished avatars publicly
• Use your avatars in streams, videos, games, VTubing, or personal branding
• Join commissions where you're modifying your own licensed base (but you cannot give others the base files)

4. Not Allowed

You cannot:

• Sell or resell the avatar base
• Redistribute the original base files, even for free
• Transfer, resell, or share your license key
• Claim the original base art, model, or assets as your own
• Use the base for anything knowingly harmful, hateful, or illegal

5. Commissions & Commercial Use

• You may sell commissions based on edits you make to your own licensed copy.
• Your client cannot receive the base files unless they have their own license key.
• If you’re unsure whether something counts, just ask!

6. Public Posting Rules

If you post your avatar publicly:

• Please add a simple credit like:
  “Base by (Creator Name)”
• That’s it — no need for fancy credit formats.

7. Community Conduct

• Be kind, respectful, and follow common sense.
• No harassment, drama, or stealing other users’ designs.
• If someone’s confused about the rules, help them out.

8. Updates

• The base may receive updates over time.
• Licensed users will be able to access updates at no extra cost unless stated otherwise.

9. Final Notes

These rules are meant to keep the community fair and fun.
If something comes up that isn’t covered here, I’ll handle it with reasonable judgment.
