Product Description

FREE. A small, egg-shaped, pale-blue inspection robot "PIXEL" trots along behind you on your right.
It looks around with its yellow binocular eyes, blinks, sometimes looks up at the sky or takes notes on its tiny wrist screen.
Just drop it on your avatar (Modular Avatar). A Quest prefab is included.

Features

Follows you at your right-back (about 65 cm) and faces the way it walks (forward, sideways, backward)
Walks, jogs or runs to match your speed - its feet keep pace with the ground, so they do not slide
Idle: looks around, focuses its eyes, wiggles its antenna, looks up, takes notes, blinks
Jumps with you (tucks its legs) and squats on landing
Wave: stops, raises its right hand and waves (turns itself off when done)
Inspect: crouches like a bird and pokes the ground with its probe (Wave / Inspect start while you stand still)
Stay here: it stops and keeps looking at you
Size dial 0.5x - 2x (1x = about 62 cm tall); the follow distance scales too

Lightweight

1 skinned mesh, 1 material, 17 bones, 2 VRC Constraints. PC 6,958 triangles (Standard) / Quest 4,170 triangles (VRChat/Mobile/Diffuse). No lights, particles, audio, LineRenderers or PhysBones. 12 synced bits (4 if Size is set to Local Only). Quest note: your avatar becomes Very Poor (hidden for other Quest users by default) if, before adding PIXEL, it already has ANY of: 15,831+ triangles (+4,170 goes over 20,000), 4+ material slots (+1 goes over 4), 134+ bones (+17 goes over 150), or 2+ skinned meshes (+1 goes over 2). Please check in the VRChat SDK Builder first.

Setup

Import the unitypackage, drag CompanionPixel_PC (or CompanionPixel_Quest) onto your avatar, upload. No manual animator editing. Requirements: Unity 2022.3.22f1, VRChat SDK - Avatars, Modular Avatar 1.18+.
