One extra step...

Toggling the hat can disable your hair, but I cant do that for you as I don't know what hair model you use so here is how:

Step 1 - On the Hierarchy, right click on the Cowboy hat prefab, select prefab and unpack prefab.
Step 2 - Select the Cowboy hat in the hierarchy and look at proprieties. find the VRC fury toggle in the picture below
Step 3 - From your hierarchy, drag and drop your hair 3d object into the 'turn off' field

Your hair will toggle off when your hat is on and come back on when you take your hat off
