the child of a flareweaver and a filament, She learned early that light could be coaxed like a string and that silence between stones often hid whole languages; by nineteen she had mastered the art of Starshots code, a rare, yet beautiful gift. Villagers came with tokens and broken maps; Lux looped threads of lumina between ruined columns, stepped across the filaments, and read the echoing glyphs until the stones sighed and offered up advice, dates, lullabies, and warnings in a syntax older than the sea.
Her gift made her a mediator and a fugitive in equal measure. Guilds wanted her for railways of luminous transit, prophets wanted her to unravel divine ordinances, and exiles whispered that she could stitch back a lost city from its archive of light. Lux answers mostly to the stones themselves, taking only odd commissions: to repair a child's memory, to reconnect a stranded island, to wake a sleeping library beneath frost. She travels with a satchel of glass spindles and a thin, stubborn hope—believing that if you can span the dark with woven light, you can stitch the world's broken histories back into a song.
